Ductless Air Conditioning

In the past, living spaces that didn't have access to ductwork had to be heated and cooled with unsightly and noisy window and/or floor units. The good news? Those days are over. Ductless systems are also called mini-splits, and offer the same efficient, comfort and quiet performance as full sized systems -- without the need for ductwork!

The Comfort Zone®

You may be wondering exactly who we are. Well...we're a small team of web savvy and HVAC savvy professionals who work with dealers and distributors across the United States. We are not owned by or partnered with any manufacturer, so the information you see on this site will be purefly our opinions based on 10+ years in the HVAC business.

The Importance of a Quality HVAC contractor

Make no mistake, the day you base a decision on price alone will be the day you'll come to regret -- sometimes with bitter tears! That sounds dramatic, but we hear the stories of homeowners who obtain bids, go with the low price and then have to pay to have the system removed and the right one put in! We're talking thousands of dollars wasted.

How do we help you with this? First, but giving you some basic education on indoor comfort control. If you know your facts, you'll make better decisions. And secondly, we link to a quality HVAC contractor directory that isn't owned by or partnered with any manufacturer. They list top dealers based on the dealer qualifications, not by the brand they install.

Does Equipment Brand Matter?

Absolutely. However, if you purchase the most expensive air conditioner money can buy, but don't pay attention to what we said above, you're still heading for trouble. In fact...lower quality equipment sized and installed correctly will out perform better done the wrong way. Imagine buy the engine found in a Ferrari, but then paying some new mechanic learning the ropes to install into your Honda...it isn't the car fault that things aren't going to work well.

There is a lot to know about equipment, and you definitely want to stick to the leading manufacturers such as Trane®, Carrier® Lennox® and WaterFurnace® (to name a few). Also, did you know that Carrier makes Bryant equipment? And that some models are identical between the brands? The same goes for Trane and American Standard. Yes...there are many things to understand before you invest in a new system!
